Yosuke Sakai

Yosuke Sakai is a Sumi-e(Japanese traditional painting) artist based in Tokyo, Japan. He has presented in numerous solo exhibitions and live drawing performances. His works varies from traditional to contemporary style.Recently he’s interested in computational approach to expand Sumi-e artwork and live performance. Currently, he is questioning “What differentiates an actual human drawing with our body from that of computers?” “Can we bring out new aspects of Sumi-e art and entertain people a lot more by using the concept and the power of computation?
